Coronation Street viewers may be forced to wait a while to uncover newcomer Scott's true identity. He recently arrived on the Cobbles, with it hinted he was linked to Carla Connor - after he suggested he knew her mother.

Johnny Connor, Carla's dad, has a past with him and it's clear something happened between them. Not only was Johnny unnerved to see Scott in Weatherfield, but he made a sharp exit away from the Street and has avoided any meeting with Scott.

Next week, his wife Jenny returns home after their time away in Paris - but she brings news that annoys Scott. Johnny decides to stay away for a little longer, clearly avoiding a reunion with him.
