It’s an injury usually seen in car crash victims. But Coronation Street’s Tina O’Brien (who plays Sarah Platt) has opened up about how she sustained painful ‘whiplash’ while filming the dramatic finale of Super Soap Week.Tonight, Friday 13th October, both Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) and Sarah are held captive in The Rovers.
Sarah’s left unconscious on the floor of the pub after being attacked by Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) - and Tina says doing the stunt took a toll on her. “It was great being clonked on the head, but it made me question doing that kind of thing for a job all the time,” Tina says. “I literally gave myself whiplash.
I could not move my neck the next day because we must have had to do it about 15 times. Honest to God, the next day I thought ‘this is not for me’.” As Super Soap Week comes to an end, serial killer Stephen scrambles to escape the cobbles before he’s caught by the police - not to mention his angry neighbours on Coronation Street who are on the warpath.
Stephen almost made it out of the country and even got to the airport before discovering his passport was missing in Wednesday's 11th October episode.
