Coronation Street stars Tina O'Brien and Samia Longchambon have declared their love for a hidden co-star viewers won't see. To mark International Women's Day on Friday (March 8), the ITV soap has decided to shine the light on one of the brilliant members of their team who doesn't appear on screen.
Taking to Instagram, Corrie shared a video featuring Margaret who spoke about her job as 'Dresser' on the show. She explained how, at the age of 83, while she doesn't do what the job was, such as getting costumes ready for first thing in the morning, she mainly takes care of the sewing and the laundry.
She shared how she has worked in the TV industry since 1972, when she started at the BBC, but has spent the past 22 years working on Coronation Street.
Her favourite job, she said, was her first at ITV on Prime Suspect while Norris Cole is her favourite Corrie character and she's still in touch with actor Malcolm Hebden.
