It was announced earlier this month that the actress would be making a one-off appearance in the long-running show. And on Wednesday night (March 27), viewers were introduced to Elspeth who took a shine to Weatherfield stalwart Ken Barlow, played by William Roache.
It came after Steve McDonald was struggling to get any attention on his dating profile and so Debbie Webster suggested he headed to the Chariot Square Hotel for their two-for-one cocktail night.
Soon, Ken was trying to help his son-in-law after his breakup with Tracy Barlow and tagged along.
