Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver has been confirmed to have taken on a new important role away from the cobbles alongside co-star Sally Dynevor.
The actress has joined the charity Prevent Breast Cancer as a patron to help raise the charity’s profile. Sue's new role will see her support the charity on an ongoing basis.
She joins a host of fellow patrons including Corrie co-star Sally and actress Victoria Ekanoye and newsreader and host of The Krypton Factor Gordon Burns.
The soap star, who has played Eileen Grimshaw on the ITV soap since 2000, said of becoming the charity's patron: "Breast cancer affects so many of us in different ways.
