Coronation Street star Tony Maudsley has been celebrating as he confirmed his future of the show. The actor is currently known for playing George Shuttleworth in the ITV soap having made his debut in 2020 as the son of Archie Shuttleworth.
George arrived in Weatherfield when he began doing business with Preston's Petals after taking over Shuttleworth's Independent Funeral Directors after his father died.
Then in January 2021, George and Gail Platt discovered that they shared great-great grandparents, Augustus and Fanny Page. Since then Corrie fans have seen George strike up a relationship with Eileen Grimshaw, is even now working with her son, Todd, at the undertakers and his sister Glenda, played by Jodie Prenger, has also made the famous street her home. The soap star, who is also known for playing Kenneth Du Beke in ITV comedy Benidorm, shared on X, formerly known as Twitter: "WooHooo!!!
