Coronation Street's Shona actress Julia Goulding reveals 'barneys' with co-star Jack P Shepherd over characters

Coronation Street star Julia Goulding has revealed how she and her co-star Jack P Shepherd have 'barneys' on set as they get passionate about their characters' stances in different storylines.

As fans of the ITV soap, the pair are famed for playing married couple Shona and David Platt and the pair are currently facing a bit of an uncertain future after Platt matriarch Gail put their beloved family home, No.8 Coronation Street, up for sale to support her grandaughter Bethany Platt after being unexpectedly hit with medical bills.

Last month, Corrie viewers saw David breaking the news to his wife Shona that Gail’s had taken out a bridging loan to pay for Bethany's medevac flight home from Turkey after her botched surgery horror and that she was committed to selling the house. But in typical Gail fashion, she didn't listen and David was furious to find a 'for sale' board outside the family home before Carla Connor popped round with Ryan for a viewing.
