Sally Lindsay fought back tears while paying tribute to the late great Paul O'Grady on Wednesday's This Morning. Chatting to presenters Holly Willoughby and Joel Dommett via video link, the 49 year old Coronation Street star revealed why she felt compelled to address her friend's death while also recalling their final conversation just days before the news. "[I've known him for a] long, long time," she began. "It was quite a shock this morning. "I'm with you because I know if you had got anyone he didn't know he’d have said, 'Why've you got her on for?

I can't stand her!' That’s why I am here, I'd rather not be let's put it this way. It's a big shock and everyone is devastated." According to Sally, who appeared on The Paul O'Grady Show many, many times, she and the famous dog lover were planning a brand-new project together. "So the last time I spoke to him was last Thursday and he had to go, because one of his pigs was ill and the vet was knocking on the door.

So that was the last time I spoke to him, which I never thought was the last time - you never do, do you..." Describing Paul as a "whirlwind", the soap star went on to tell Holly, 42, and Joel, 37: "He was funny, intelligent, there was no one like him.
