Coronation Street star Charlie Wrenshall has spoken out as he was branded a 'hero' by his co-star as he continues to tell a heartbreaking bullying storyline on-screen.
The actor will be best known for playing Liam Connor in the ITV soap. Liam has spent months hiding his ordeal from his mum Maria Windass and stepdad Gary as he's tormented both at school and online by Weatherfield High bully Mason Radcliffe and his gang of mates, including Dylan Wilson.
Viewers were previously horrified when Mason confronted and tormented Liam before pulling out a knife on the fellow teen. And in fresh scenes, Liam was seen trying to fight back. A worried Dylan tried to stop Liam, warning in the school corridor "He's going to kill you," knowing that Mason said Liam would be a ‘dead man’ if he turned up.
