However, it seems that Tom's appearance has ruffled some feathers. It's since been reported that Samie Elishi has pulled out of the show after learning that Tom, with whom she had been coupled up with in the villa, is taking part in the show.
Samie is said to have been among the former islanders approached to join the show as a surprise arrival, but has since opted against flying out to the South African villa.
An insider told The Sun: "It's fair to say Samie and Tom don't really get on these days.There's too much water under the bridge now. "The idea of being back in the Cape Town villa - the same one where they first fell in love - was too much for Samie so once she heard Tom was in the mix it was an immediate 'hell no' to bosses." OK!
