As viewers of the ITV soap saw in recent scenes, Liam involved a knife in an attack on him and Mason by the latter's brothers, Matty and Logan.
While they weren't carrying a knife, a terrified Dylan tried to protect his pal, only for his decision to end in Mason's horrifying death.
It wasn't until later that Dylan finally admitted the truth to his dad Sean Tully after he questioned his son's nervous demeanour in the aftermath of the stabbing.
