Coronation Street's Julia Goulding says text from co-star confirmed cheating twist as Shona's next move revealed

Coronation Street star Julia Goulding has revealed that she found out about her character's cheating twist in a text from her co-star.

As viewers of the ITV soap now know, Shona Platt is keeping a huge secret from her husband David Platt. Trouble for the couple was on the horizon as soon as David, played by Jack P Shepherd, started sneaking around intercepting letters sent through the post and deleting emails from Shona's laptop before it was revealed she was being contacted by Weatherfield Prison about her son, Clayton Hibbs, who killed David's late wife, Kylie Platt.

Fans have since seen, after David went to visit Clayton, who was apologetic for everthing he had done before David told him Shona wants nothing to do with him, Clayton attempted to take his own life and has since been in hospital. But David's lie was finally exposed by his stepson Max Turner during last Wednesday night's (December 4) Corrie. David was seen confiding in Max about how he intercepted visiting orders that Clayton had sent from prison and confirmed he'd visited him behind his wife's back.
