Following the revelation of his wife Shona's affair and his mother Gail Platt's permanent departure from Weatherfield, David went missing, leaving his family concerned in the latest instalment of the ITV soap.
Shona was seen frantically searching for her husband and leaving him messages. Unable to reach him, she turned to Adam Barlow for help following his recent argument with David.
However, Adam was not in the mood for any drama after his hospital visit, which was due to David. David had gotten Adam drunk under the mistaken belief that he was the man Shona had been unfaithful with.
After a strange conversation with Kit Green, it appeared that David realised that Kit was the man Shona had actually slept with.
