Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd has revealed he caused a bit of a problem for his on-screen mum as she prepared to leave the soap after 50 years.
As fans of the ITV soap know, Helen Worth has decided to bow out of the show after playing Gail Platt for 50 years. She announced the news over the summer before filming her final scenes back in October, which will air this Christmas Day.
As Corrie fans know, it's never a dull moment in the Platt household, but with Gail due her fairytale ending on December 25, will the warring Platt family allow Gail and Jesse Chadwick their winter wonderland wedding or will family feuds put a stop to Gail riding off into the sunset with her sixth husband? Speaking about being on set at the time of Helen's exit after five decades on the street and how they was portrayed into Gail's exit, David actor Jack revealed to the Manchester Evening News: "Yeah, I think we me, Tina[O'Brien - Sarah Platt] and Ben [Price - Nick Tilsely] all had our own emotional scenes with her, separately. "I think there's this thing where she comes to each of us separately in separate scenes and basically gives us a farewell, goodbye separately.
