The actor, who is famed for playing Tyrone Dobbs, was celebrating his 42nd birthday on Sunday (August 11). Long-time fans of the ITV soap may recall Alan first appearing on the cobbles 26 years ago, with his debut airing in November 1998.
His first scenes saw him playing Kirby's Dream Land when his assumed mother Jackie Dobbs came to stay with Deirdre Barlow, who had been her cellmate in Redford Prison.
Now, Tyrone co-owns Webster's Autos alongside Kevin Webster and is married to Fiz following an on-and-off romance over two decades.
