Coronation Street star Daniel Brocklebank has hit back at a troll who was quick to make a dig at his expense as he revealed he would be briefly 'stepping away' from the cobbles just as he celebrates a huge milestone.

The actor, who is best known for playing Billy Mayhew in the ITV soap, revealed that he's signed up for a role away from his main job and will be returning to the stage in Figaro: An Original Musical.
