Charlie Condou is set to travel through time and space as he joins the star-studded cast of Doctor Who's 15th series. Remembered fondly as Marcus Dent on Coronation Street, where he appeared from 2007 until 2014, Charlie has been busy since he waved goodbye to Weatherfield.

His TV roles have included parts in Midsomer Murders, Holby City, and Unforgotten, while he's also shone on stage in productions like The Rocky Horror Show and Arthur Miller's The Crucible.The 52-year-old actor is no newbie to the Doctor Who universe either, having lent his voice to several Big Finish audio dramas in the Whoniverse but now, he's gearing up for a thrilling face-off with Ncuti Gatwa's Doctor, as confirmed by the BBC series.

Buzzing with excitement about the upcoming adventure, Charlie shared: "I'm absolutely thrilled to be joining the Whoniverse, having been a fan for so long, and finally getting a chance to work with the legend that is Russell T Davies. "It's an honour to be part of such an iconic show and I can't wait for everyone to see what I think is one of the most exciting and unforgettable episodes so far.", reports Plymouth Live.
