Catherine Tyldesley has taken to social media for the first time since she branded claims she was involved in trying to bag free cakes for her upcoming birthday as 'cakegate'.
The row ensued when a bakery owner hit out after it revealed it had declined a PR company's request on behalf of an unidentified 'well-known' celebrity asking for the sweet treats for a 40th birthday in September.
Three Little Birds Bakery in Yorkshire made headlines after owner Rebecca Severs, from Keighley, shared a screenshot of an email from PR company NVRLND asking the small business to make 100 cupcakes the celebrity’s birthday event and an extra smaller birthday cake for the celeb's husband.
In the email, the PR company asked for the products in exchange for 'social media exposure' and an appearance in OK! Magazine and while neither the bakery or the PR company named the famous face, other media reports later revealed the event revolved around Catherine, who is set to celebrate her 40th birthday next month.
