Coronation Street star Bill Roache is said to be "doing fine" despite facing a huge 'bankruptcy' bill. The 91-year-old actor is at risk of a second bankruptcy due to a reported debt of £588,015.18 owed to the taxman.
Despite earning a reported £250,000 salary, court documents show he has only paid back £41,666.65 so far. Bill, famed for playing Ken Barlow in the ITV soap, is due to attend a court hearing next month, the Mirror reports.
Bill's friends from his spiritual group, Stride for Truth, are fully supporting him. The group, which aims for world peace and enlightenment, meets in Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester.
