The pair have had an on-and-off romance over the years. Leanne and Nick first married in January 1998. But with it recently being a leap year, Leanne decided to drop to one knee and asked Nick to marry her in a busy Bistro to which he accepted.
However, he admitted to brother David Platt that he thought about saying no. The proposal came after Nick had picked out an engagement ring to pop the question to Leanne once more but changed his mind when his partner kept details about her son Simon Barlow's car crash with his son Sam Blakeman in the car.
