Kirk Sutherland
Kirk Sutherland is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera, Coronation Street. The character first appeared on-screen during the episode airing on 22 May 2000, played by an uncredited actor and originally referred to as Mark. From October onwards, he is played by Andrew Whyment.
Liam Gallagher
William John Paul Gallagher (born 21 September 1972) is an English singer and songwriter. He rose to fame as the lead singer of the rock band Oasis in the 1990s and 2000s, and later fronted the rock band Beady Eye in the early 2010s, before beginning a solo career after the dissolution of both bands. One of the most recognisable figures in British music, he is noted for his outspoken and abrasive manner; penchant for wearing parkas; distinctive singing style, in which he elongates vowels; and signature stance on stage, which consists of him holding his arms behind his back and singing up into a downward-facing microphone.

Coronation Street's Andy Whyment responds to soap exit concerns as he's seen in completely new role

Coronation Street star Andy Whyment has responded to comments about his future on the show after he was seen taking on a completely new role.

Fans of the actor, and his cobbles co-stars, will know that he's partial to taking to the mic as Andy, who is famed for playing Kirk Sutherland in the ITV soap, is often seen leading a sing-a-long at Corrie's various parties throughout the year.

But this time, he took his singing skills away from the iconic streets of Weatherfield and led a rendition of Kings of Leon's hit song Sex on Fire at a local festival alongside a band called Organised Mayhem. Corrie co-star Tony Maudsley was quick to respond with the George Shuttleworth actor commenting: "You little ROCK STAR!!!

LOVE IT!!!!" Former soap star Brooke Vincent, who previously played Weatherfield's Sophie Webster, also replied: "I love watching you sing." And many of Andy's fans and followers were keen to react to the clip with one mentioning the recent news of Liam and Noel Gallagher ending their 15-year feud, saying: "Think Oasis have just found there support act," to which the soap star replied: "Absolutely buzzing Oasis are getting back together." Another fan, meanwhile, said: "Leaving Corrie to pursue a music career are we now," to which Andy wrote back: "Absolutely not Corrie my number 1 but enjoying singing
