Coronation Street legend Jane Danson has insisted those in front and behind the camera of the long-running show are 'family' as they rallied together in support.
The ITV soap has been hitting the headlines as the year kicked off with a string of exits. Sue Cleaver announced shortly after 2025 began her plans to wave goodbye to Weatherfield after 25 years in the role of Eileen Grimshaw.
She said: “I’ve had 25 privileged years of working on Coronation Street. The door is still firmly open, but as I reached my 60th year I decided it was time to embrace change, look for new adventures and live fearlessly." Colson Smith then confirmed he was told he is being axed this year as he marks 14 years playing Craig Tinker.
He said he was called in for a chat back in October where he was told that it was the end of the road for his character, therefor his time on the famous street.
