Coronation Street Helen Worth's cheeky exit move uncovered as co-stars say 'we'll miss her' amid emotional Christmas exit

Helen Worth showed off her cheeky side as she said goodbye to her Coronation Street co-stars after 50 years. The actress has already finished filming on the ITV soap after confirming her plans to bow out as Gail Platt earlier this year.

It's now been revealed that she wore a T-shirt covered in the names of her former on-screen husbands for her leaving do. The 73-year-old stepped into Nick's Bistro on the cobbles set sporting a T-shirt featuring her character's former flames Brian Tilsley, Martin Platt, Richard Hillman, Joe McIntyre and Michael Rodwell.

Her on-screen son Jack P. Shepherd, who is famed for playing Weatherfield's David Platt, told the On The Sofa podcast he co-hosts with co-stars Ben Price, who plays on-screen brother Nick, and Craig Tinker actor Colson Smith: "I thought that was a nice touch, that was quite amusing." So we kind of convinced her to do something because it was for everybody." The group then headed to a Manchester restaurant for a goodbye meal with the Platts family joining in the fun.
