Coronation Street fans say 'hypocrite' Billy 'has a short memory' amid devastating scenes
ok.co.ukAfter another emotional night on the Coronation Street cobbles saw Paul Foreman consider taking his own life, viewers at home were quick to label one Weatherfield resident, Billy Mayhew, as a complete “hypocrite” after he lambasted his husband for his actions.
As regular viewers will know, Paul is battling Motor Neurone Disease, an incurable degenerative disorder that affects his nerves and will ultimately claim his life in the coming weeks as he slowly loses the ability to move, eat, speak and even breathe one his own.
With his illness progressing at an alarming rate, Paul decided he wanted to end his life on his own terms instead of living through the indignity and painful reality of his condition until the bitter end, and even sought help from his friend Todd to ask him to help.
Horrified by the idea, Todd refused - prompting Paul to later ask his pal Abi Webster, a former drug addict, if she had any connections that could help him secure the drugs to end his life when the time came.
