Coronation Street fans were distracted despite Sally Dynevor leading royalty onto the famous cobbles. The actress was joined by Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, on the ITV soap's set this week.
The Duchess has become close pals with the Corrie icon after appearing on Loose Women at the same time. With a shared goal to raise awareness for breast cancer, Sally told Sarah about being a patron of the Prevent Breast Cancer charity and was keen to get involved.
Sarah was diagnosed with breast cancer last year, and she underwent a mastectomy. Sally was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009, at the same time she was filming a storyline about her character being diagnosed with the disease. After, Sally invited the Duchess over to Weatherfield - to explore the legendary Coronation Street set. While there, she got to walk down the famous cobbles and even got to head behind the bar of The Rovers and meet a host of the soap's stars, including Julia Goulding, Jacob Roberts and Paddy Bever - who play Shona Platt, Kit Green and Max Turner in the long-running show.
