Coronation Street spoilers have confirmed a controversial new storyline for Toyah Battersby that has already been objected to by fans.
It's been revealed that Toyah, played by Georgia Taylor, that she gave birth at 19 to a stillborn baby girl. In the devastating scenes, viewers will discover that Toyah Battersby buried her stillborn baby in a park after being raped 23 years ago.
And so Toyah will be left fearing the worst when she finds out that the land will be dug up and her secret discovered. Long-time viewers of the ITV soap may know that in 2001, Toyah was on a night out with Sam Kingston, played by Scott Wright, and went on to walk home alone, but was attacked and raped by an unknown assailant.
She was found by Jason Grimshaw, portrayed by Ryan Thomas, who helped her get back home.
