Jane joined the ITV soap in 2019 as Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Paul's (Peter Ash) estranged mum, quickly becoming a fan favourite.
Bernie has been at the centre of several major storylines.These include Paul's heartbreaking death from Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in September 2024 and the surprise arrival of her long-lost son Kit Green (Jacob Roberts).
Fans have also been captivated by Bernie's romance with Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin). Before joining Corrie, Jane had roles in Silent Witness, The Bill, Doctors, and played Kathleen 'Dixie' Dixon in BBC's Casualty from 2006 to 2016.
