Police have launched an investigation following the death of a Scottish schoolgirl on Monday.Officers from Police Scotland attended an address in North Berwick Law in East Lothian on October 23, with the 15-year-old's death currently "unexplained".The North Berwick High School pupil's death is not thought to be suspicious, police added.
East Lothian Council released a statement saying it would provide support for anyone affected by the death, reports the East Lothian Courier.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 6.15pm on Monday, October 23, police were called to North Berwick Law area following the sudden death of a 15-year-old girl.“The death is being treated as unexplained but there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”A council spokesperson said: “North Berwick High School received sad news of the unexpected passing of an S4 pupil last night.
