Fifty years ago people wouldn't have batted an eyelid at families with lots of children. It was pretty much the norm for children to share their bedroom with one or more siblings.

These days that's no longer the case, with high childcare costs and couples with both parents working making it too tricky for families to expand.

But there are still some large families who manage to make things work - including Manchester mum Claire Ambrose, who has a whopping NINE children.

Now 38 she was just 17 when she had her first baby Jake, but he was tragically stillborn at six months into her pregnancy. At 19 she welcomed her twin girls Jessica and Leah, who are now that age themselves - Jessica being the first to move out of the family's home in
