Hearts striker Conor Washington has been left sweating over his move to Charlton Athletic. The Northern Ireland international is back in Edinburgh, waiting to see if the English Football League will give his switch the green light.
The English League One outfit have agreed a five-figure fee with Robbie Neilson 's side and a two-year-contract with the player but the deal currently hangs in the balance.
There is currently a power struggle at Charlton and the EFL between owners ESI and current chairman Paul Elliott and club lawyer Chris Farnell.The EFL have put together an independent panel to look into the possible take-over but because of their perilous position the league will have to give permission for the Addicks to register any new.
