Conor McGregor has blasted rival Khabib Nurmagomedov for retiring, stating that it’s “preposterous to walk away”. Khabib left his gloves in the Octagon after beating Justin Gaethje in October, to retire with a perfect 29-0 record.
The Russian has been in Fight Island to discuss his future with UFC president Dana White with many expecting him to return. Khabib had retired following the death of his father, but has admitted he could return if McGregor shows him something special in his bout with Dustin Poirier.And McGregor has reignited the war of words between the pair, who fought in 2018 after the Irishman attempted to confront Khabib at UFC 223 media day.
