'Confusing' and 'disorientating' optical illusion divides opinion as to what it really is

An optical illusion has baffled the internet, leaving people both 'disoriented' and 'confused.' The image has divided opinion as to what exactly people are seeing in what at first glance appears to be nothing more than a person walking into a snow-covered wood.

Pictured in a classic wintery scene the image has now been widely shared on social media with many debating what exactly it is.

Most have said they can see what appears to be a figure with slightly fuzzy hair and with their back to the camera, seemingly wearing a backpack as they step on to the snow.
