Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes has admitted the defeat to Galatasaray in the last Champions League matchday was a 'complete disaster' and doesn't feel the Reds have built much momentum since then despite back to back Premier League wins.
With just over 20 minutes remaining against the Turkish giants, United looked to be in a good position to pick up their first three points of the competition.
However, goals from Muhammed Kerem Akturkoglu and Mauro Icardi, as well as Casemiro's dismissal, saw the Reds implode to defeat at Old Trafford and remain without a point after two Champions League matches.
Since then, Erik ten Hag's men have won back-to-back matches in the Premier League, either side of the international break. However, the manner of the victories left plenty to be desired, according to Scholes.
