Community hubs set up across Stirling as flu jab programme starts

Flu vaccinations in the Forth Valley area will begin from Monday, September 28.And Stirling’s Albert Halls will be one of the ‘community hubs’ used for vaccinations, by appointment, from the start of October.Due to Covid-19, the majority of people will be immunised in a hub and will receive a letter giving them a time and details of where to attend.Each person will be seen within a 15-minute appointment time.Around 20 per cent of GP practices, many in more rural areas, have opted to carry out immunisations, but these will not necessarily be in a local practice and could involve nearby medical centres.A number of Stirling pharmacies will also provide flu vaccinations to care home staff and those providing care at home.Pharmacies will also.
