Comedian Andy Cameron hails NHS Lanarkshire staff after 3am hospital trip with gallbladder issue

Comedian Andy Cameron has praised the NHS staff who cared for him after he had to go A&E with chest pains at 3am last week.

The TV and radio broadcaster said he had to go to A&E after suffering a tightening in his chest in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The 82-year-old, from Rutherglen, near Glasgow, had turned up at University Hospital Hairmyres in East Kilbride with chest pain linked to indigestion but said it was later discovered to be a gallbladder issue.
