The AMC-distributed film, unveiled August 31, clocked in more than $37M from the three big theater circuits — AMC, Regal and Cinemark — in its first 24 hours of presales, Deadline reported.
Current opening weekend projections of $70+ million blow away all previous concerts films, and plenty of others. It also has an interim agreement, SAG-AFTRA’s National Executive Director and Chief Negotiator Duncan Crabtree-Ireland revealed recently.
