An East Kilbride church is celebrating its own 70th Jubilee this summer.As well as the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee taking place, East Mains Baptist Church is throwing a ‘Community Day Celebration’ to mark 70 years in the town.1952 was when the first Baptist presence was established in East Kilbride.The beginnings of the Church were small - for the first eighteen months just eight adults and six children attended the Sunday services.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
