Neil Lennon

Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.

Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.

Christopher Jullien has been ruled out of Celtic's Europa League qualifier against Riga with a back problem.Boss Neil Lennon revealed the Frenchman has not made the journey for Thursday's clash in Latvia.Jullien is "struggling" with the issue following Saturday's 3-2 home Premiership win over Livingston.But his absence is the only further problem for the manager as the rest of his squad emerged unscathed from the weekend victory.Lennon said: "We’ve only left Chris Jullien behind because he’s still struggling with his back."The rest of the squad that was available at the weekend have travelled."Celtic are strong favourites to prevail in the Latvian capital but Lennon has prepared his players for a "very difficult" encounter.Riga defeated.
