Christine McGuinness has opened up about her struggles when her ex-husband Paddy McGuinness shot to fame with his 2010 ITV show 'Take Me Out'.
In her tell-all book 'Christine McGuinness: A Beautiful Nightmare', released in 2021, she shared that although she was initially thrilled for Paddy's transition from comedian to prime-time TV star, she found herself becoming more withdrawn and spending much of her time alone.The stunning Liverpool-born model confessed to feeling increasingly isolated as Paddy's new show took off, hinting at a battle with depression during those early days.
She reflected: "Ironically the bigger his profile got, the more introverted I became. I was just at home alone and would do anything to avoid going out.
It wasn't that I didn't get invited anywhere, I did, and occasionally I'd hang out with his cousin Lorraine, but I just couldn't face walking out the door.
