Edinburgh. Police, fire and ambulance crews raced to North Forth Street at around 2.30pm on Monday after reports that the schoolboy had 'taken unwell'.
Ambulance teams struggled to get into the property and were forced to call the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service to help them break in.
Once crews reached the boy, he was rushed to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh.Medics describe his condition as critical.Witnesses spotted a cordon placed around the property as well as forensic officers on the scene.One told the Record that police had been guarded the property's stairwell all night and that officers were still there on Tuesday morning.Police said that enquiries were ongoing.
