BreAnna Bell NBC‘s Sunday Night Football game featuring the Kansas City Chiefs vs. the New York Jets averaged approximately 27 million viewers, making it the most-watched Sunday show since Super Bowl LVII on Fox in February.

According to preliminary data across NBC, Peacock, NBC Sports Digital, and NFL Digital platforms, that’s a 22% lift from last year’s Week 4 game (22.2 million as the Chiefs faced Tom Brady and the Buccaneers).

Last night’s game also registered a national TV household rating of 12.9/35 — up 15% from last year’s Week 4 matchup. Viewership peaked at an estimated 29.4 million viewers between 9:30-9:45 p.m.

ET as the Jets climbed their way within eight points of the Chiefs in the second quarter of the game. Though, Kansas City ultimately took home the win with a 23-20 final score.
