'Chicago P.D.' Stars & Producers Chip In To Pay Show Production Assistants Amid Strikes

A new report from Deadline revealed that the cast and producers of the show are making sure that production assistants are compensated amid the strikes from both WGA and SAG-AFTRA. Keep reading to find out more… The outlet says that First AD Richard White first organized the donation, along with cast members Patrick John Flueger, Marina Squerciati, Amy Morton and Tracy Spiridakos, executive producer/showrunner Gwen Sigan, writer/executive producer Gavin Harris and writer/co-executive producer Scott Gold.
Each of them pitched in $1,500, and a second wave is coming. LaRoyce Hawkins is planning to donate with the second round, according to Richard.
The total that was raised for the PAs and entry-level staffers is around $25,000. “They are a really good team of kids,” Richard shared. “I had the idea, as the strike was going on, of trying to do something for them because I knew they would be the ones that really would be hurting the most.” Be sure to vote in Just Jared’s poll of which One Chicago star you want to return to their show!
