Chelsea defender Thiago Silva has been ruled out to face Manchester City after Mauricio Pochettino said his star defender was hurt during Monday's win over Crystal Palace.
Silva, 39, was forced off early against Palace early after running back to stop a shot. He has played in almost every Chelsea game this season, meaning his absence is a real blow for a team which has conceded 40 goals in 22 Premier League matches.
Pochettino said of Silva on Friday: "He's out for tomorrow. He's not available. Afterwards, we need to assess him." Meanwhile, Carney Chukwuemeka twisted his ankle two days ago and won't be able to play.
