Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino is anticipating a stern test when his side visits Old Trafford to face Manchester United on Wednesday night, admitting that he is looking forward to going head-to-head with Erik ten Hag again.
The Argentine, who was appointed Chelsea boss in May, has not faced Ten Hag since he guided Tottenham Hotspur to a historic Champions League semi-final comeback against Ajax in 2019.
Spurs fought back from 3-0 down on aggregate to progress the final on away goals, setting up a meeting with Liverpool in Madrid.
Pochettino was sacked by Spurs six months after that historic comeback and did not return to English football until earlier this year, meaning he and Ten Hag have not crossed paths for more than four years.
