It should have been one of the most exiting times in Tony Frawley's life. This time last year, the renowned chef was perfecting his pizza recipes ready to begin his dream of opening a restaurant.
But weeks later, the 60-year-old was given a devastating diagnosis. With his new pizzeria open for only a matter of days, Tony was told he had stage four oesophageal cancer.
And he was given the heartbreaking warning that it could kill him. Tony told Wales Online: "I started throwing up after eating. "It was just before Christmas 2023 and I was driving home from the pizzeria and I'd picked up a sandwich.
As soon as I'd eaten it I had to pull over and I was sick. I had severe chest pains and was struggling to breathe and swallow.
