King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla were greeted by dozens of schoolchildren waving Union Jacks as they arrived for a tour of a youth project. The monarch, 73, and his wife, 75, visited Project Zero Walthamstow on Tuesday 18 October morning.

Project Zero aims to engage young people in positive activities to promote social inclusion, reduce anti-social behaviour and offending, and strengthen community cohesion. The organisation's aim is to see a year when zero young people die from knife or violent crime.

King Charles and Camilla met members of staff and young fans as the Royal couple enjoyed a tour of the organisation. Charles, cutting a dapper figure in a pinstriped blue suit, was spotted chatting with a group of teens who had come to see him.

According to the Daily Express, the King couldn't resist a joke when a youngster asked him: "How old are you King Charles?" Reports say the monarch quickly responded: "Have a guess!" Meanwhile Camilla, wearing an elegant blue day dress with a feather pattern, smiled warmly as she greeted youngsters who celebrated the occasion by waving miniature Union Jacks. The couple were heard chatting to guests about topics such as women's safety and access to job markets as they entered Project Zero’s headquarters in east London. The monarchs seemed to be making the most of the autumn sunshine and mild weather too – with neither sporting a jacket or overcoat during the visit.
