Charity slams care home report after inspectors criticise Covid-19 practices

Join thousands of others who have signed up for the Daily Record newsletter.A director at the Royal Blind charity has slammed a report on a Paisley care home after inspectors criticised its care and support for staff and patients during the Covid-19 pandemic.Hawys Kilday revealed she was “disappointed” by the Care Inspectorate’s (CI) findings at Jenny’s Well, insisting the charity - which runs the home - did not have a chance to respond to comments ahead of them being laid before the Scottish Parliament.The watchdog carried out a check-up on July 14 and 15 and gave the home - which cares for older people with vision impairment - an overall grading of “adequate” in its report.Inspectors claimed sinks at the Hawkhead Road site were too small.
