Channel 4 star Guy Martin has revealed he was shot, kidnapped and tortured in Colombia in a terrifying drug cartel test for his new show.The 41-year-old is known for his death-defying stunts over the years and has survived to tell the tales, however, he has racked up numerous injuries including a broken back, punctured lungs and shattered ribs at the cost of his stunts.But nothing prepared the daredevil for the terrifying ordeal he was set to face on his latest show, Our Guy in Colombia.In the show he attempts to show the country wasn't just defined by its infamous drug industry, reports the Mirror.The dad-of-one was left speechless at the violence he encountered as he explored the Southern American country as the nation recovers from decades of extreme violence after drug cartels clashed with the government.Guy visits body armour company MC Armor in the Channel 4 documentary who explains the shocking statistics that two people are kidnapped every week in Colombia, with more than 12,000 murdered a year.He decides to test out the bulletproof clothing and is shot in the stomach to see if the protective wear actually works in a shocking scene.“I’ve never been shot.
