Martine McCutcheon is best known to fans as a much loved actress and singer, but in recent months, the talented star has also become a huge campaigner for raising awareness for chronic fatigue syndrome, a long-term neurological condition that affects the nervous and immune systems.

The star, who was diagnosed with the condition in 2021, has since suffered a number of debilitating symptoms, including extreme tiredness, fatigue and pain.

Chronic fatigue syndrome, also known as myalgic encephalomyelitis, is a long term neurological condition which can affect anyone at any age, but is more common in women, and tends to develop between your mid-20s and mid-40s.Typically, the condition’s main symptom is extreme tiredness, but a whole host of other symptoms often accompany this including everything from headaches to brain fog, that can make even simple day to day tasks a constant struggle.
