Scott Stevenson has spent close to five years trying to get East Kilbride out of the Lowland League - but now he is desperate to get new club Linlithgow Rose promoted to it.The 24-year-old right-back left K-Park last week to join Brown Ferguson’s East of Scotland Premier side, who play a tier below Kilby in the pyramid system, on a two-year deal.During the spell with his hometown club which included a famous match with Celtic, Stevenson twice helped Kilby reach the SPFL play-offs but promotion from the Lowland League has always eluded him.Now he hopes he will be on the right side of a promotion push with West Lothian side Linlithgow.Stevenson, from Stewartfield, said: “It’s strange to leave East Kilbride.
